The Board of The
BASH Organization’s role is to inspire other teens
to become “Teens Helping Teens” by planning The
BASH Event. In addition to smaller-fundraising endeavors,
The Board focuses its attention on how to engage
youth in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco
and expanding the organization to additional cities.
Coordinating with The Teen House and The BASH House,
The BASH Board makes sure our message is properly
implemented and that each of their projects are
“easily implementable” by other teens outside our
group. |

Chelsea, 16, is the BASH’s Director of Youth Involvement
and Project Based Funding and has been with the
group for two years. She even participated in the
original BASH event as a model in the Fred Segal
Fun Fashion Show. She writes for her school Chronicle
and enjoys studying history. One of her key roles,
is to work with The Teen House and create events
that both teens and patients can participate in,
such as the April Check Presentation. Recently,
she helped organize the Teen Impact Christmas Party
where she ran the Gingerbread Decorating Room. While
her favorite element of being a BASH director is
working directly with the teens, she loves “planning
the event with friends and seeing the progress we
are able to make between meetings.”

Allegra, 15, hopes to succeed
Bosilika as the CEO and Event Coordinator of The
BASH next year. She plays a major role in soliciting
and approving our community and corporate sponsorships
and has helped pair us with many local companies
that match our brand. At her Los Angeles school,
Allegra plays basketball on the team and also
studies in a French immersion program. Her favorite
element to The BASH is the “friendships she is
able to make with people who came together only
because of their love of philanthropy and the
amazing lessons” she is able to learn from them.
Olivia also sits on The BASH House as an advisor
and is spearheading the CHLA Teen Impact April
retreat.

Olivia, 16, attends The Buckley School in Los Angeles,
CA. Through her family and her dance, Olivia’s ideals
of hard work and working towards a goal were fostered.
Today, her driven spirit has helped her become an
integral part of making the BASH organization a
success as our Director of Community Outreach. Helping
to strategize ways to engage the community and promote
teens in philanthropy, Olivia adopted the “Hands
for The Heart” campaign as her first Birthday Initiative.
Says Olivia, “Helping others isn’t only a hobby
or a passion but is something that I try to do as
much as I can. I was also taught to be the best
I can be and without being a socially responsible
member of society I can’t be a person I would be
proud of.” In the summer, Olivia plans on going
to India to photograph the needs of children in
the country and raise awareness to the things her
friends can do to help out. Through her two favorite
things, photography and philanthropy, Olivia hopes
to merge her hobbies to become an international
ambassador of Childrens’ causes.

Nina An, 15, is Bosilika’s younger sister and attends
Beverly Hills High School. On The BASH, her role
is to help facilitate sponsorships and act as a
liason and mentor to members of The BASH House.
Her greatest BASH memory, she says, is when she
got to “soulja boy” with patients at a CHLA Teen
Impact Christmas Party and greatly enjoys the challenges
that come with trying to find the perfect community
partnerships. Hoping to become a Marine Biologist
of CIA Field Agent, she spends lots of her time
creating “special missions” for BASH members to
implement and increase teen involvement. When she’s
not working on The BASH or school work she enjoys
watching Gossip Girl and NCIS with her best friends
and going to parties.

Celine Rouben, 15 has recently joined The BASH
because she wanted to make an immediate difference
in the lives of misfortunate teens. Acting as
a BASH board member and a facilitator of the BASH
house events, she enjoys seeing both teen and
tweens coming together to make a difference. A
sophomore in high-school, Celine is very driven
and is one of the organizers of the group. Her
best BASH experience, she says, is "decorating
50 boxes for The "CA$H For The BASH"
Campaign." Despite her philanthropic success,
Celine hopes to become a psychologist and admires
the philosophical complications that come with
planning a party.

Victor, 17, is a student at The Brentwood School
where he enjoys playing tennis with his school team
and studying AP United States History. Truly connected
to his school environment, Victor helps create campaigns
that engage local schools and their students to
participate in BASH events. Hoping to play tennis
in college, Victor spends most of his time training
when he’s not working with The BASH. In the future,
Victor hopes to be in banking or real estate.

Francesco, 17, was first introduced to The BASH
Organization through his sister, Stella and defines
his role on The BASH Organization as “a brainstormer
on how to get other guys involved in philanthropy.”
Saving the day at our Bake Sales with his portable
table, he jokingly points out that he is also “the
table guy” but his real role in The BASH is to help
support the sick teens at The Hospital by planning
“boy driven” events focused around his hobbies of
soccer, acting and chilling with friends. Despite
his love of The BASH, his goal after graduating
High School this June is to become a successful
businessman and attend a prominent university where
he can continue to spread his philanthropic ideals.

Taylor Burns, 17, is a junior in high school and
a member of The BASH Board. One of the liasons to
The Teen House, Taylor works with the team to facilitate
their projects and make sure the events are fun
and patient-friendly. Having witnessed the miracles
CHLA produces first hand, a family member was a
patient, she is a youth advocate of the organization
and its goals and is also helping create the design
plan for the dialysis wing remodel.

Leslie, 17, attended elementary prep school with
Bosilika and has been friends with her for over
eight years where she was introduced to The BASH.
In the process of starting a San Francisco chapter,
Leslie divides her time between coxing on her school’s
crew team and creating a project time line for the
new BASH group. For college, she hopes to attend
Barnard and do a year abroad in her favorite city,
Paris.
